This paper attempts to find a methodology for an individual analysis of factors affecting the design concept. Such numerous factors could be broadly attributed to three main components: designer, design location, and design subject. To this end, a design project at the B Arch level was selected to demonstrate and test this analysis methodology. In a series of design exercises, the students treated these components. A table was then formed using the results of these exercises. Each row of the table thus demonstrates how a certain design concept has evolved through these exercises. The advantage of this method is that the students acquire a self-conscious understanding of the design process which enables them to ‘autocorrect’ both their design and their process.
