As one of the oldest quarters of Khorramabad City, Zeyd-ibn-Ali Quarters includes several significant historic buildings. The Zeyd-ibn-Ali Shrine and its adjoining market, where fresh agricultural products are sold daily, are important features of this part of the city. Nevertheless, the survey undertaken there indicates that some 72 percent of the inhabitants are not satisfied with their living conditions. According to this survey, 35 percent of inhabitants consider social problems, 22 percent lack of urban services, 29 percent narrow alleys as their main source of dissatisfaction, while for 14 percent all these factors count as source of dissatisfaction. Further statistical analysis shows that among eight groups of dissatisfaction factors, physical problems ranks first, followed by social, economic and environmental factors.
